RealD supplies 3D technology to customers including Fortune 500 companies, theme parks, education centers, and for medical research and procedures. The company held its initial public offering
on July 20, 2010, when a total of 14,375,000 shares of common stock
were sold.
RealD has an exclusive agreement with Sony to provide technology to project 3D movies with the Sony 4K projector. Sony is their highest shareholder.
