Radio Caroline was the original name of a New Zealand radio station
in Timaru
, now owned by The Radio Network (TRN). Radio Caroline was named after the nearby Caroline Bay and broadcast throughout South Canterbury on an AM frequency.
Originally it was a community based local radio station, until October 1995
when it became part of the Classic Hits FM
network.
The FM frequencies now carry 'Classic Hits 98.7 and 94.7' after a second frequency came on air in 2005. The local breakfast show is hosted by Bradley Craig, and broadcasts live from Timaru studios 6-10am weekdays. Out of these times, the station is networked from Auckland.
