Radio 2 Morning is the morning program on CBC Radio 2 in Canada
, launched September 2, 2008. The program features a cross-genre selection of Canadian and international music.
The program airs from 6 to 9 a.m. seven days a week, and replaced both Music and Company
and Weekender. Tom Power, who also hosts Radio 2's folk music program Deep Roots
, has been permanent weekday host since November 2011, after a successful stint as interim host following the departure of Bob Mackowycz
in late July 2011. Tom Allen
, current host of Radio 2's Shift, served as weekday host prior to Mackowycz.
The weekend editions have been hosted by jazz singer Molly Johnson
since the show's inception.
The program's production staff is mostly based at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre
