Plot

The Pink Panther is driving his car and, as it comes up a hill, one of the tires goes flat. He then proceeds to get out of the car and replace the tire with a new one from his boot. He takes the tire out of the boot and places it on the floor, while then taking off the old tire. As he places it in his boot, the new tire rolls away. He tries various tactics to get his tire back, but in vain. At one point, the tire lands on a large pole. The panther puts the tire on his head and climbs up the pole, then, when at the top, he throws it to the ground and it rolls away.

At another point, the tire lands, unfortunately, in a tire shop. When the panther tries to take his tire back, the shopkeeper, being the Little Man, gets angry and demands payment for the tire, however the panther has no money, at which point the shopkeeper gets the police

involved. Various other things happen to him and the tire, including it inadvertently rolling across telephone wires, and the Panther getting zapped by a tram. At the end, he has managed to get his tire back, but finds out that his car had stopped in a tow-away zone.
