On October 31, 2006, MGM Mirage
announced plans to sell the Primm Valley Resorts, which includes the Primm Valley Resort, to Herbst Gaming
for $400 million. Recently, the sign in front of the resort has been changed from "Primm Valley Resorts and Casino" to "Terrible's Resort and Casino", although the resort is still apparently operating under the name "Primm Valley".
As of March 23, 2009, the Herbst family relinquished control of the Terrible's Primm Valley Casino Resort, along with both other properties, to their lenders to settle a bankruptcy filing.

. The tram was constructed by Schwager-Davis using the UniTrak technology and was retrofitted in 1996. The tram travels at 15 mph and can transport 1,200 people, per hour, per direction (pphpd). Doors on either side allow passengers to enter and exit the tram at the same time, thus reducing the dwell time from 2 minutes (when only one set of doors were in operation) to 1 minute. Trams arrive every 3-5 minutes .
A tram links Primm Valley to nearby Buffalo Bill's
Resort and Casino. The multi-car tram was designed by Schwager-Davis to their UniTrak standard. Despite its name, the tram actually runs on two guideways. Each car accommodates 24 people; the four-car trains can seat 96 people with no standees. The system can transport 2,200 people, per hour, per direction (pphpd). An attendant supervises each tram, although the tram is controlled by a computer.
