did not step down, or leave office at the time, simply for clarity this article shows his title of Chief Minister ending 9 August, as well as his new title of Premier beginning on the same date to define the time frame of each title.
In August 2009, the United Kingdom suspended the Turks and Caicos' self-government
after allegations of ministerial corruption. The prerogative of the ministerial government and the House of Assembly are vested in the islands' incumbent governor for a period of up to two years.
