Plymouth North High School, known informally as Plymouth North or PNHS, is a public high school

In 1988, the Plymouth-Carver school district was dissolved into two separate school districs (Carver

) and Plymouth Carver High School was renamed "Plymouth North High School". Later that year, the Town of Plymouth opened another new school (Plymouth South High School
) to meet the needs of its ever increasing student population.
In the fall of 2012, a new and improved Plymouth North High School will be opened on the same lot location of 41 Obery Street. It is being constructed behind the current Plymouth North High School, on its Baseball and Football fields. Once the construction of the "new" Plymouth North High School is finished, the current building will be taken down and disposed of. The current building is in need of a lot of renovations and concerns over the following things led the school to be rebuilt: (1) the brick veneer has severely deteriorated over time; (2) steel-frame windows (single pane) and doors are experiencing rusting and leakage; (3) the roof is in need of replacement; (4) the existing building and site are not ADA compliant; (5) the boilers are outdated and inefficient; (6) the electrical distribution system is failing in many places as a result of a deteriorating conduit shield; (7) the lighting and plumbing systems are outdated; (8) the HVAC system only provides adequate heating and cooling to the modular classrooms; (9) the fire alarm system dates from the 1960s and does not comply with ADA, NFPA, and MA State Building Code requirements; (10) there are asbestos-containing materials throughout the building; and (11) there is severe overcrowding due to inadequate space, specifically in the hallways, music room, gymnasium, cafeteria, and library.
. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs presented the award at their 13th Annual Awards for Excellence in Environmental Education in recognition of Plymouth North's Life Skills program and its recycling efforts.

History
Plymouth North High School was constructed in its present location of 41 Obery Street in 1963. The school was originally known as Plymouth-Carver High School, and it served as the sole high school for the Plymouth-Carver school district from 1963-1988. This "new" school replaced the older Plymouth High School, now known as Nathaniel Morton Elementary School at 6 Lincoln Street (across the street from Plymouth Town Hall) in Plymouth Center. - In the 2010-2011 winter season the OSE (Obery Street Elite) was founded. These fans went to every hockey and basketball game to cheer on their fellow classmates. They went from Jimmy Buffet night to even a Pink in the Rink night to help raise awareness of Breast Cancer. These fans were voted as the number 1 fan base by Old Colony Memorial and hold the record with fellow Plymouth South High School for largest crowd ever to watch a hockey game at Gallo Arena in Bourne, MA
- In 2011 the Plymouth North Eagles won their 2nd state title in 4 years with a 3-1 win over Hudson
