. The card readers display the number of credits required to play. The average game requires six credits to play (the equivalent of $1.50 on an old-school arcade machine). PlayCards can be charged with credits or they can be charged with TimePlay, meaning that all arcade games (with some exceptions) could be played within a certain length of time, typically two-hour or four-hour "Time Play Specials." To prevent abuse, PlayCards with TimePlay are "locked out" if used too soon after the last swipe and were not meant to be shared between players.
