Infant Jesus Church is a very famous church which was built in 1891 and the village is famous for unity in diversity among people. People are very faithful.

December 25, the Christmas Day, is celebrated as the Feast of the Village every year on a very grand scale.
People across Guntur district, irrespective of their religions attend this festival with faith.

Phirangipuram is situated at the foot of a beautiful hill, which can be noticed significantly from distant places.

A Church was built on the hill in the name of Mother Mary. We have to take almost 1000 steps to reach the Church on top of the hill
Every year, on July 14, 15, 16 the feat of Mount Carmel is celebrated in a grand scale, This festival is called 'Konda meeda Panduga'. It is developed in to a famous pilgrimage center.

For over a century, for the people of the place, Christmas has been the "Big Feast". The celebration is marked by profound faith and fascinating festivity. Right from the beginning , people of different faiths in the town participate and celebrate the feast. At the centre of Phirangipuram stands the massive Gothic structure Infant Jesus Cathedral with its lofty tower and imposing dome. The cathedral was built in 1891 by Rev.Fr. Dickman, a Milhill Missionary.This is church is like cross if we see from height places like our hill or helicopter.

As a backdrop to the Cathedral is the big Hill of Our Lady of Lourdes crested by the Chapel of Mother Mary. Across the road from the cathedral is the over a century old St. Paul's High School for boys. Behind the cathedral is St. Ann's Convent with a high school for girls and also R.C.M. elementary school is also here.
Phirangipuram (PPM) is also famous for sports, which has a good cricket stadium on the name of Bishop of Guntur Most. Rev. Gali Bali
In Phiangipuram another great institution also was established long back itself. It is called St. Paul's Minor Seminary. Modifying the seminary and seminarirans in all areas (human, spiritual, physical,psychological, pastoral, liturgical and socialogical areas) for the better growth of the seminarians.

St. Paul's High School & St. Ann's Elementary & High Schools are standards of education and moral values to the people, which have sent many responsible citizens to the society.

People majorly enjoy sports, food and entertainment.

Agriculture is their main job.
