. Its main differences are that it has more emphasis on things like debating, moral and philosophical issues and dilemmas, wars, matters of life and death like abortion, contraception for example. It also looks at sexism, racism and religion in the media.

It is still certainly in a minority, only being taught in place of Religious Education at some schools, mostly in the England

 and still prominent, but less commonly in Wales

It has been criticised for not teaching people enough about religions. Others argue it does this but in an interesting and fun way whilst teaching students knowledge about how to plan their life with subjects like gambling, racism and sexism.
