Sivasankaran (Jayaram
) comes to her college as a clerk to replace the inefficient clerk Padmanabhan (Jagathy Sreekumar
). Kunju Lakshmi gets into a fight with Sivasankaran. Her brothers also join the fight and Sivasankaran declares that he will marry Kunju Lakshmi in 14 days. Although Kunju Lakshmi hates Sivasankaran at that point, she later falls in love. Her brothers try to pressurize her to marry their maid's son Achu (Mohanlal
) who is actually the son of the late Vamadeva Kurupu of Kavumpattu. But ultimately, Sivasankaran and Kunju Lakshmi gets married with the help of Achu and receives blessings from everyone.
