Parvathy grew up in Kaviyoor, Thiruvalla, Kerala. She went to N.S.S Hindu College, Changanacherry. This was where she was discovered by Balachandra Menon. She then acted in her first movie Vivahithare Ithile Ithile with Balachandra Menon. In many of her roles she was a cute and bubbly character.
