The Army continued to operate the hospital through the Korean War
until the buildings were placed under the control of the General Services Administration

The building was renamed the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center in honor of three former patients who later became U.S. Senators, who were treated at the hospital during World War II: Philip Hart
