. He was born into an architectural family. His father was an architect in Atlantic City, New Jersey. His father, Edgar Jones Steelman was a principle in the firm of Wasleski Steelman Associates. Paul married Maryann Theresa DeSantis in 1980. They have two children, Stephen Steelman (1983) (an actor) and Suzanne (1986) (an architectural graduate student). The family lives in Las Vegas
