After a brief stint in station ownership, Barsky longed to return to his first love, morning radio, and in 1991 he joined Houston's KRBE, hosting the morning drive show. Barsky returned to Philly in 1993 to take over the morning drive time slot at WPLY

, where he turned "The Barsky Show" into one of the market's top rated shows. At Y 100 he was named Best Major Market Morning show by trade publication FMQB. It was also at Y100 where Barsky created in 1994 his off the cuff, "Dead Guy in the Envelope" contest based on a risque dream that his wife had about a celebrity who had passed to the great beyond. Barsky's infamous contest idea has since been adopted by many radio stations around the world and has inspired an online internet game as well.

Barsky remained in Philadelphia, but left Y100 for Greater Media's cluster. First he appeared as the morning drive host on Max 95.7, and when Max 95.7 flipped to Jammin' Gold 95.7, Barsky moved over to the morning drive slot at active rocker WMMR

Barsky was also morning host and operations director at 96.5 The Point in Philly and in October 2005 Barsky was announced and appeared on WYSP following the Howard Stern show on a new FM Talk format called FREE-FM.

In 2009, Barsky appeared on the afternoon drive show at 105.3 The FAN in Dallas, Texas
