He is notable for his work on Liverpool's Roman Catholic Cathedral and on the new Coventry Cathedral
in collaboration with the artist John Piper
. He also designed the windows of many other buildings in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.
Reyntiens was educated at Ampleforth College
, Edinburgh College of Art
and St Marylebone School of Art. His artistic career was interrupted by military service in the Scots Guards
from 1943-1947. He set up an arts educational centre later known as the Reyntiens trust with his artist wife Anne Bruce at Burleighfield House in Loudwater
