His good form earned him a recall to the Ghana
squad, three years after his last and only other appearance, he went on to pick up three caps
for his country but was left out of the final 23 man squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup
.Agyemang spent much of his first seasons at Deepdale
making appearances from the bench – however injuries to key players saw him start games early in the 2006/07 season, scoring a memorable winner against West Bromwich Albion.
Agyemang was nicknamed 'Dave' shortly after this arrival by supporters following an internet poll on QPR fans' site Loft For Words and despite the player himself objecting to his new moniker, the name has stuck and now used by both fans and players.
Agyemang initially flourished after joining QPR and scored eight goals in his first six league games for QPR, the richest goalscoring form of his career, though this has later been attributed to a 'tear in the fabric of reality'. He has scored just six times in 55 appearances for the club since and has suffered prolonged spells out of the side with injury.
On 25 January 2010, Agyemang signed on loan for Bristol City
until the end of the 2009–10 season
