) is a retired Irish
sportsperson. He played hurling
with his local club Newcestown
and with the Cork senior inter-county teams in the 1990s. Kenneally captained Cork in 1995, however, he enjoyed little success with the senior team. He started playing with his home club from the age of 7 and played with the top teams in his club every year from the age of 16 to 38. He continued to play with the more junior teams on his club for some years after. He played in four County Finals for his club winning man of the Match awards in three while been controversially injured at the beginning of the four. He also won the Man of the Match award when playing in the 1994 county success with his division Carbery
which allowed him to achieve the honour of captaining his county in the 1995 Senior Hurling campaign.
His inter county career began as a Cork minor hurler though many rated him a better footballer at that time. He went on to play u21, Junior and Senior hurling as well as Junior football for Cork. He won an All-Ireland Junior Hurling Championship

where he captained the Senior Hurling team in 1985 and 1986 and also captained the schools Senior Football team in 1986. At third level he played both Sigerson Cup
and Fitzgibbon Cup
hurling with UCC
at a time when it was becoming increasingly rare and ending up with four Fitzgibbon medals. He had twice broken the same ankle by the age of 17 which resulted in an unbalanced running style. He was regarded a hard but fair competitor who had to resort unusual levels of bravery and determination in order to overcome other opponents. He coached St. Brogans College in Bandon to an All-Ireland success in 2004.
Kenneally played in 5 Cork County finals winning 4 while being honoured with Man of the Match for three of those finals.He lost in the 1989 County Juior hurling final after being felled by a dangerous blow early in the game. After a few years away from the game at a high level (he played for the 3rds' of Newcestown in 2009 ) he was persuaded to join Valley Rovers
. As a neighbouring parish and a club beset with inner turmoil at the time, many regarded this appointment as a poison chalice. His innovative training techniques and his severe disciplinary style soon reaped rewards as they has won 3 counties in 2 years.
In 2010 he was appointed as coach to the Cork Intermediate hurling team.
