politician and a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives
representing District 36B, which includes portions of Dakota

counties in the southeastern Twin Cities

Garofalo was first elected in 2004, and was re-elected in 2006, 2008 and 2010. He is currently the chair of the Education Finance Committee, and also serves on the Redistricting, Taxes, and Ways and Means committees. He was an assistant minority whip in 2008.
