Parkside Media has focused on automotive and technology media since its inception. Against a generally declining readership across the whole magazine industry, Parkside Media's motoring titles (NZ Performance Car, NZ Classic Car and NZV8) bucked the downwards trend for 2008 showing modest increases in readership.

In September 2008 an online games division was established making Parkside Media the only magazine publisher in New Zealand to explore online games. It is also the only magazine publisher in New Zealand to produce a TV show (NZ Performance Car TV
