History

The stadium was built in 1929 although the first National Greyhound Racing Club race was not held until 1932. It hosted the Sheffield Eagles

' first ever game in 1984. The stadium was purchased by the A & S Leisure Group in 1991 and a £3m refurbishment followed. The stadium now hosts 260 race meetings each year which attract 300,000 visitors making it the sixth biggest NGRC track in the country.
