Shortcomings

Some of the lectures, as delivered to attendees, contain copyrighted content which Yale is unable to distribute to Internet viewers due to legal restrictions. The video lectures are edited at this point and the copyrighted work is generally 'snipped' from the presentation or the video is faded to black leaving just the audio to go on. In these instances Yale does not provide alternative sources, leaving the viewer to independently source suitable material with which to make sense of the presentation.
