announced that Risser was to be offered a contract. He signed a two-year deal along with Ibrahim Atiku
on the same day, 10 July. On 20 July, Risser was named Swindon captain for the 2011–12 season.
On his Swindon Town debut, on 6 August, Risser scored his first goal against Crewe Alexandra
in a 3–0 win, giving Swindon their first win in League Two.
