Olevano has a cultural tradition from the past – initiated around 1800 Olevano has had an important role in landscape painting in European art, in particular in the 19th century. Artists from almost all European countries as well as American artists visited and worked in Olevano, and today you will find paintings depicting Olevano, its surrounding landscape and the neighbouring towns in many of the important museums all over Europe.
