Mega Millions drawings are not televised on any of the three television stations that carry the winning numbers for Powerball, Pick 3, Cash 5 and Hot Lotto; those playing Mega Millions instead can only see the winning Mega Millions numbers via Chicago-based cable superstation WGN America (which is available on most cable, IPTV and satellite providers in the state) or on the lottery's website.

In 2003, the Oklahoma legislature approved a lottery proposal to go before a vote of the people. Two state questions (705 and 706) were placed on the general election ballot in 2004. Those questions, if approved, would set up a lottery commission and create a lottery trust fund. The Lottery was overwhelmingly approved.Claiming winnings
