A 2008 analysis of the Austronesian Basic Vocabulary Database' fully supported the unity of the Cagayan Valley languages, and the unity of the Northern Cordilleran languages at 95% confidence. There are numerous languages of the Aeta peoples scattered through the North Cordilleran family which were not included in the study.
