On June 5th 2010 the Highlanders played Ashland High school for the 5a state championship. The Highlanders won three to zero defeating the Grizzlies behinfd the most valuable player of the game Andrew Moore who pitched a complete game three hit shutout to capture the Highlanders first state championship in baseball.

North Eugene High School was open to students on October 21, 1957. The opening was delayed nearly two months, causing two months of double-shifting at Colin Kelly Junior High School until the school was finally completed.Academics
