Nokia 5233
Encyclopedia
Nokia 5233 is a Symbian
based smartphone
launched by Nokia
in 2010. It is said to be Nokia's cheapest touchscreen cellphone available presently. It runs on S60 5th edition and its form factor is similar to the 5230, 5235 and 5800 models.
User response: Although said to be a downgraded but more stable version of Nokia 5800
, it has got popular in the lower end users because of its low cost (Indian Rs.6100 as of January 2011). The sound-output from internal speaker is notoriously low (to compensate for the fidelity perhaps). The gallery application and native browser needs much improvement. Multimedia
experience is good with a wide support of video codecs (excluding .avi and .mpg), ability to play high quality videos at the bit rate
of up to 2600 kbps, 3D sound experience (through headphones), and inbuilt image as well as video editing software on device.
