Nitro Circus is an American television series that featured Travis Pastrana
and his friends traveling around the world riding dirtbikes, base jumping, and performing reckless stunts. It was originally run as a miniseries in 2006 on Fuel TV
. In January 2009, it began running as an episodic reality television
show on MTV that featured people performing various dangerous stunts. The series officially debuted on February 8, 2009. Season 2 premiered on August 27, 2009.
On June 23, 2010, cast member Jim DeChamp posted on his personal Facebook
page that MTV had cancelled the show.
As of June 23 2010, the show has been removed from MTV's Current Shows page.
On June 23, 2010 while touring with Nitro Circus in Australia, Travis Pastrana was asked if he would be continuing with the show. He replied "We'll see what happens when we get back to America".
On June 23, 2010, cast member Tommy Passemante announced on Twitter that "There will not be a season 3 of Nitro Circus. Bigger news to come."
On June 23, 2010, cast member Special Gregg Powell replied to numerous questions about a 3rd season of Nitro Circus, "How about Nitro Circus 3D Movie instead? Well, It's gonna happen so hang till summer 2011." This is most likely the bigger news that cast member (Street Bike) Tommy Passemante mentioned on September the 4th.

Again in an interview with Andy Bell, he stated that the planned "3D movie" will begin shooting in January and have a 2011 October release. He also mentioned that since breaking off from MTV, there are no restrictions in terms of health and safety, meaning the ideas will be even crazier.
On the 12th January 2011, Travis Pastrana officially announced on YouTube that the 3D movie is on its way.
On February 16th 2011, Andy Bell stated during a webcast that they were beginning filming in April of 2011, and that it had been pushed back because the Nitro Circus live tour had conflicting dates.
Jim DeChamp suffered a serious back injury on June 29th, 2011 while taping for the upcoming movie Nitro Circus 3D. After surgery, doctors now say there was no spinal damage and they expect him to make a full recovery.

3D Movie (2011)
On the 13th of May 2010, Andy Bell stated via Facebook that a movie has been planned to begin filming this fall, and is set to make a release at cinemas in 3D. He stated in the meantime, the site will keep getting updated and "will keep everyoneentertained".
