on April 5, 2011. It features the same 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor
as the D7000 with 14-bit resolution, while delivering Full HD 1080p video mode with up to 30fps. It replaces the D5000
.
Like Nikon's other consumer level DSLRs, the D5100 has no in-body autofocus motor, and fully automatic autofocus
requires a lens with an integrated autofocus-motor. With any other lenses the camera's electronic rangefinder
can be used to manually adjust focus.
