 became the guest, later permanent, announcer. Charbonneau retired from the CBC as of August 2007. In October 2007, Philly Markowitz became the weekend host of Nightstream.

As of February 2009, Nightstream became an automated, hostless program, similar to the overnight service of Radio-Canada radio.
