Route description

Route 236 begins at Route 108 and travels east to downtown Somersworth as West High Street. In the center of town, Route 236 turns to the north and intersects Route 9. Route 236 joins Route 9, and the two routes continues north of Somersworth and cross the state line into Berwick, Maine. NH Route 236 ends, but its continuation, Maine State Route 236
