He is the president of ABS Electro, vice president of the Democratic party of Serbia and Member of Parliament of Republic of Serbia.

He graduated from the Belgrade University School of Mechanical Engineering, and later completed his master and PhD studies in economics in Moscow

Mr. Popovic work as a lecturer at Economic Faculty of Moscow Lomonosov University and at the Moscow State Mining University. During his academic career he published seven books and more than 120 articles in the area of economics and regional development.

As a head of Serbian Economic Team for Kosovo and Metohija he conducted Strategy for Long-term Economic Development of Serbs’ Communities at Kosovo and Metohija, adopted by Serbian Government in January 2007.

He is married and father of three.
