Neidermeyer's Mind is a demo album by the American nu metal
band Korn
. It was was produced by Ross Robinson
and released in 1993. The demo is very difficult to find. Finished versions of all of the songs later appear on other Korn
albums.

live in his garage. The studio was called "Underground Chicken Sound." While they were recording at Underground Chicken Sound, a group of people had been loitering
around outside the studio. The band began playing a prelude to a later song, "Clown" (a song appearing on their 1994 debut album
.) When they began playing the song's riffs, a larger crowd gathered around, finding Korn to sound good. The band's bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu
, said it was because it sounded so "different."
While trying to find a name for the band, Jonathan Davis suggested the name "Korn" after one of their performances, in reference to an incident with a homosexual couple he knew according to Brian Welch
in his autobiography. The rest of the band liked the name because it reminded them of the movie Children of the Corn
. Later, a song called "Children of the Korn" would appear on Korn's third studio album, Follow The Leader

intro; it starts immediately with Fieldy's bass riff. It also has a different chorus. After the instrumental bridge, there is an extra part to the song with Jonathan Davis singing: "Mommy! Why did Daddy touch me there?" which leads into "I didn't touch you there." The demo version of "Blind" has a noticeably shorter bridge and many other changes. "Predictable" has a slightly higher key than the version featured on their debut album
. "Alive" was scrapped with several of its sections reworked into the song "Need To" from the band's first album. A proper reworking of "Alive" eventually showed up on Korn's sixth album Take a Look in the Mirror
, over a decade after its demo.
