 in the south-west. Sihanoukville is the only sea international port of Cambodia. In consequence, NH4 is one of the most important highways of the country for economical purposes. The road was built in the 1950s along with the construction of the port.

The road has been built especially for the transport of merchandise between the capital and the port by heavy trucks and containers. It has three toll stations
