. He has three sisters and five brothers which he is last son of the family. At beginning of football, he was a goalkepper but later he became Midfielder. He has two sons, Sina (born 1985) and Sahand (born 2000) and one daughter, Samira (born 1988).

Club career

He was started his career in Nasaji Mazandaran and was in club until his retirement in 1993. Whilst at Nassaji, Dastneshan is famous for scoring 9 goals in 8 consecutive games in one season.

He coached in many Iranian clubs and he is known as a manager that upgrades teams to Division 1 of Iranian football but he doesn't managed for more than one year in each club.
