, NISGUA works to coordinate local grassroots campaigns on both sides in the interest of improving the lives of those people who are oppressed in Guatemala. The Report on Guatemala (RoG) is NISGUA's quarterly publication that provides a voice on Guatemalan issues.

 organizations across the world. In the case of NISGUA, accompaniment involves the placement of volunteers in communities that were directly affected by Guatemala's 36-year internal war

Volunteers live and work side-by-side with victims of the violence, and especially with men and women who are pursuing legal action against former oppressors. Guatemala has a history of violence against human rights workers, which the accompaniers are supposed to help discourage.
