Accused activity

Fadhil is accused of preparing TNT and loading that TNT plus other explosives into the truck which was used as a bomb in Tanzania. He was wanted on eleven counts of murder, several weapons and conspiracy charges, and charges which apply specifically to attacks against American government personnel and facilities.

Fadhil fled Nairobi to Karachi on 2 August 1998, on the same airliner as Sheikh Ahmed Salim Swedan

Fadhil was on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorists

In August 2004, it was reported that an Egyptian "big fish" with a "multi-million dollar bounty on his head" was captured in Pakistan by Pakistani authorities. Shortly thereafter, Fadhil's name was removed from the FBI's list and also from a similar list maintained by the State Department. This leads many to believe that he is currently in custody of either Pakistan or the USA, although there has been no official confirmation or denial. Fadhil remains off the FBI Most Wanted Terrorists
