The Museum of America in Madrid

) is a National museum that holds artistic, archaeological and ethnographic collections from the whole American continent, ranging from the Paleolithic
period to the present day.
As an institution, the museum was founded in 1941, and in 1962 all the funds were definitively moved to its current venue. The permanent exhibit is divided into five major thematical areas:
