The Mossberg 185 is a 20-gauge
bolt action shotgun, produced between 1948 and 1964 by O.F. Mossberg & Sons
in New Haven, Conn.
or other modern shotguns. The shotgun was shipped with a wrench for removing the choke tubes.
The shotgun will only accept 2¾-inch shotshells, and will not accept larger magnum shells.
While the magazine only holds two shells, it is possible to load three into the shotgun by first loading a shell into the chamber and then inserting a full magazine.
The stock on the shotgun, a Monte Carlo
