Early Life
Mitchell was born into a modest American family. His father, Henry Joachim (1928-2011) was a wood furniture manufacturer and a painter from Queens NY. His mother was born in Brooklyn, NY. They encouraged Mitchell since the age of five to pursue fine arts. His early education was in the public school system of New York State.Design Projects
