Miss Norway is the name used to identify Norway
's representatives to international beauty pageants.
Frøken Norge which qualifies its winners to Miss World
and Miss Universe
; and Miss Norway, where the winner competes in Miss Earth
since 2010 and the runners-up go to Miss International
and some minor international pageants.
Since 1985, Frøken Norge is a registered trademark in Norway and the supervisor is Geir Hamnes; while Miss Norway was established by Geir Killingland in 1983 and is organized by Norwegian Models headed by Armand Bye.
Representatives to Miss World
Norway sent its first Miss World representative to the third Miss World pageant in 1953
. Norway has never won Miss World. Its best placement belongs to Ingeborg Sørensen, 1st runner-up to Miss World 1972
