Songs
- From all the submitted songs, TVE selected the best few, which went online on their website. From the 15th until the 21st January 2007, anyone who visited the site were able to vote for their favourite songs, with one vote per person per day.
- The top 5 songs from the internet vote went on to the next round, as was 5 songs selected by the internal jury
- From the 24th until the 28th January 2007, people once again was able to vote for their favourites through the internet
- After this second round, the top 3 from the internet vote, plus 2 selected by the internal jury, went on to the final
- In the final, the songs were first of all performed by famous Spanish singers
- After the famous singers had sung the songs, the finalists also performed a part of each of the songs
- The winning song was selected by televoting

- The selected performers were competing in 4 semi finals, in which each sang 1 min 30 seconds of a song
- Televoting selected the top 3 performers from each semi final, and the jury selected a further 2, making 20 singers in the final
