. It is 113 km long from Moræne Pynt in the southwest to Bregnepynt in the northeast, and up to 45 km wide, and 3,913 km² in area. It is part of an archipelago
, which includes Storø in the southwest, Ujuaakajiip Nunaa in the southeast, and the Bjørne Øer in the northeast. It is separated from Renland peninsula in the north by øfjord (6 to 10 km wide), from Gåseland peninsula in the south by Fønfjord (4 to 6 km wide), and from the mainland coast in the west by Rødefjord (4 to 14 km wide).
