The M-DISC is playback compatible with computer DVD drives and DVD video players and has been shown in government accelerated life tests to outlast all other recordable DVDs on the market.

In 2008 the company received the Utah Best of State award in the category of Science & Tech, sub-category of computer and software providers, for its flagship products.

In 2009 the M-ARC disc (now M-DISC) won the 1st place in the category Computer Hardware/Electrical Devices at the 7th Annual Utah Innovation Awards.

In 2009 Millenniata received the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum (UVEF) award for the Most Innovative Product of 2009 for its M-ARC disc.
