claiming it to be a "disaster". "He's been coming on and doing well for us. He's the first name I look to put on the bench" he told the club website. He now faces a lengthy period of recovery, and is unlikely to play again this year.
On 14 October 2009 Coulson signed a month loan deal with Chester City

. He scored his first goal for Chester on 7 November in a 3–1 win over Grays Athetic
