She married comedian Silvester Stewart (d. 1973) in 1915, and bore him 2 sons and 2 daughters, two of whom also went on the stage. She had non-speaking roles in Stanley Kubrick
's A Clockwork Orange
and in the Doctor Who
serial 'The Daleks Master Plan' (as an aged Sara Kingdom
). Her last major role was as Billy's outspoken grandmother in the TV series version of Billy Liar
(1973). She lived in London until her death.
