In 1994 he was a member of the Italian relay team which won the gold medal in the 5000 metre relay competition.

Four years later he finished fourth with the Italian team in the 5000 metre relay event and 15th in the 500 metre contest.

At the 2002 Games he was part of the Italian team which won the silver medal in the 5000 metre relay competition.

His final Olympic appearance was in 2006 when he finished 30th in the 1000 metre speed skating event and 31st in the 500 metre speed skating contest
