 to produce a new LP entitled Swallow the Sea which, was named after one of the songs included on the album. Released August 19, 2008, this album that included the single Save You, gained traction in television, and saw a growing number of placements in popular television shows in 2008 and 2009.

In 2010, Matthew released two EPs. One official release,The Distance in Between, and another unofficial digital release Crash, Boom, Bang which was released exclusively through Noistrade. Crash, Boom, Bang was a collection of songs either that didn't make the cut on Swallow the Sea or weren't finished enough to be included.

Matthew is currently touring in support of The Distance in Between.
