alignment, passing between homes and shopping areas as it intersects several major streets in the area. The route is largely wooded and follows Bel Pre Creek to the east, which it bridges after a stretch.

After exiting the denser development, the road narrows to a two-lane undivided road, which occurs north of Longmead Crossing Drive. The route enters sparser development and passes by a golf course to the east. Bridging Buckhorn Branch, the road then dualizes again, but only for a short stretch, to intersect MD 28 (Norbeck Road).
